Information On How You Can Quit Smoking!

• The Smoking Quitline of the National Cancer Institute can help you
  quit smoking with one-on-one assistance from trained information
  specialists.

• Nebraska tobacco users who are ready to quit can access Quitline services through the toll-free national 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669) Quitline, or on the Web at www.smokefree.gov.  Smokefree.gov is intended to help you or someone you care about quit.  Callers will receive counseling assistance from trained tobacco cessation counselors. You Can Quit Smoking Now online resources and tools are also available.

• The Cardiac Center of Creighton University Smoking Cessation Program

• Visit the Center for Disease Control smoking cessation website at www.cdc.gov/tobacco/how2quit.htm.  This site offers useful resources, tips, and tools to help you quit smoking or call 402/280-5287.

• The American Lung Association (ALA) has a national lung help line that offers free counseling by RN's, RT's, and quit smoking specialists. The help line provides immediate information on lung health questions as well as smoking cessation. Multi-lingual services are also available. Hours of operation are from 7AM to 7PM (Central Time), Monday through Friday.  The toll-free number is 1-800-548-8252.
